MarBorg Industries owns and operates a revolutionary Construction and Demolition (C&D) recycling and transfer facility located in the heart of Santa Barbara. Open to the public, this facility accepts a wide variety of materials.

Inside a large construction and demolition recycling facility, construction workers operate heavy machinery, including a front loader and an excavator, as they manage a large pile of mixed debris, scrapyard materials, and waste.

Opened in 2005, MarBorg's Construction & Demolition (C&D) Recycling Facility in Santa Barbara is one of the most advanced recycling operations on the Central Coast. Open to both the public and commercial haulers, the facility processes up to 1,250 tons of construction, demolition, and other recoverable materials each day.

Using a combination of heavy equipment, advanced sorting systems, and experienced personnel, materials are separated for recycling and reuse rather than being buried in a landfill. Wood and green waste are processed onsite into mulch and wood chips, while many other materials are recovered and returned to productive use.

Designed with both efficiency and environmental responsibility in mind, the facility incorporates dust suppression systems, noise-reduction features, and a tire wash to help minimize its impact on the surrounding community. Every load processed represents another step toward reducing landfill waste and supporting a more sustainable Central Coast.

Disposal Rates

MINIMUM DUMPING FEE ON ALL LOADS: $45

General Construction Debris: $145 per ton

Clean Dirt (No organic material, rocks or rubble): $40 per ton

Clean Concrete (No wire mesh, rebar, dirt or wood roots): $40 per ton

Concrete Washouts: $55 per washout

Rubble (plaster, stucco, bricks, concrete with rebar, etc...): $60 per ton

Wood and Yard Waste: $89 per ton

Tree Stumps and logs between 16” and 3’ diameter: $145 per ton

Refrigerators, freezers, A/C Units: $20 each (Free if Freon has been removed)

Porcelain Bathroom Fixtures: $20 each

Palms & Succulents: $145 per ton

Low Content Waste (i.e. sofas, mattresses, furniture, carpet) : $209 per ton

Motor Homes (gas tank removed and junk slip needed): $145 per ton

Tires (price based on diameter of tire)

  • Small (up to 30"): $6 each

  • Medium (31" to 40"): $8 each

  • Large (41" to 60"): $90 each

  • Extra Large (over 60"): $122 each
